I had a decent stay at this hotel, primarily because of the comfortable and quiet rooms and the staff's eagerness to help. The location is a bit remote, so it's best to plan your sightseeing accordingly. While the dining offered ample and tasty Japanese meals, the ambiance felt a bit lonely due to the lack of guests. The furnishings are showing their age, but everything was clean and efficient overall.

Rooms

The room offered a unique blend of old ryokan style and newer elements, with a balcony that had a beautiful view of the bay. However, the mismatched decor, especially in the bathroom, was a bit odd.
Service

The staff members were very helpful and caring, though I found the overall friendliness varied. They were eager to assist, especially about the incoming typhoon.
Location

The hotel is situated in a beautiful setting but is quite remote, making it less convenient for traveling by bus or getting to the port.

I really enjoyed the traditional Japanese breakfast. The dishes were not only delicious but required us to boil and prepare some of them ourselves, which made the experience more interactive.

While the onsen was comfortable, it was nothing to write home about. Parking is available, but it isn't under cover.

I had a decent stay at this hotel, which was clean and comfortable, albeit a bit remote from town. The staff was eager to accommodate, which was nice. The dining experience was enjoyable but felt a bit lonely since there weren't many guests during our dinner. The onsen was fine but didn't stand out. While it wasn't perfect, I still found the stay to be satisfactory overall.

My stay at the hotel was pleasant overall, with comfortable rooms and attentive staff. The dining experience, while tasty, felt a bit lonely due to the lack of guests in the dining area. The location is a bit far from town, but it offers a peaceful retreat. The facilities, like the onsen, were decent but nothing spectacular. If you're looking for a quiet escape, this might be a good fit, though it's not quite ideal for those wanting easy access to attractions.

This hotel is decent with comfortable rooms and a very eager-to-help staff. It's located a bit away from town, which makes it less convenient for sightseeing. The Japanese meals served are ample and tasty, but the atmosphere felt quite lonely due to the lack of other guests. While the furnishings are starting to show their age, everything was clean. The onsen experience was comfortable but not particularly impressive. Overall, it’s not a luxury resort but offers reasonable value for what you pay.

7.2/10

This hotel is quite comfortable and has a clean atmosphere, but it's not the best option for those who want to be in the thick of the town since it's a bit removed. The efforts of the staff to make my stay pleasant were noticeable, and the Japanese meals served were generous and flavorful. However, the furnishings feel a bit outdated. While the onsen was cozy, it wasn't anything extraordinary, and the lack of covered parking was a mild inconvenience.

Rooms
7.0
The room had an intriguing mix of old ryokan charm with some newer elements, including a unique bathroom with a balcony that made for a dramatic sight during a lightning storm.
Service
8.0
The staff were kind and eager to assist, even offering to pick me up and drop me off at the bus stop, which I appreciated.
Location
6.0
The location isn't very convenient for bus travelers, but it boasts a beautiful setting that's peaceful and scenic.
Dining
7.0
The meals were delicious, particularly enjoyed the ample Japanese set course, although dining in a large room with just one other couple felt a bit isolating.
Facilities
6.0
The onsen was comfortable, although it didn't offer anything particularly special.
